The IEEE P3209 standard has been approved by IEEE and will undergo final proofreading before publication.
On September 22, 2023, IEEE P3209 passed its final review by IEEE revCom and was approved as a new standard by the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE SA) . It will now enter the publication phase, with final verification to be conducted before publication.
Upon successful publication, IEEE P3209 will become an official IEEE standard, and approved IEEE standards typically remain valid for ten years.
The passage of the P3209 standard would not have been possible without the strong support of the IEEE C/BDL, the guidance and assistance of the experts at IEEE, and the diligent work of the experts within the working group.
